has launched the Style SC998 Shouldered-to-HDPE transition coupling. It provides a one-piece, mechanical joint between shouldered IPS and HDPE piping and helps reduce installation time.
The coupling is said to deliver a cheaper, easier and more efficient way to join plain end HDPE pipes to shouldered IPS pipes, valves and fittings.
While the shouldered end of the coupling utilises the proven design of Victaulic shouldered couplings, the HDPE end of the housing features rows of gripping teeth which bite down on the plain end pipe, resulting in a firm connection around the entire circumference of the pipe.
It is recommended for use in situations where speed is essential, such as in ground water and air equipment hook ups.
Available in 63mm and 110mm, the coupling is designed for piping with SDR’s ranging from 21 to 7.4. It conforms to AS/NZS 4130 and PE 80 or 100.
