Aqua Milling®, Aqua Lancer™, Aqua Rover™

Industrial Cleaning Solutions
Vicon Aquadrill provides industrial cleaning solutions to the Mining, Oil and Gas and Industrial Sectors. Through its unique advanced technology, Vicon can guarantee improved safety, increased productivity and cost reductions to these industries.

Vicon uses Aqua Milling® technology, the safest and most advanced cleaning technology in the world, to remove any type of scale using only high pressure water. 

For large size internal diameter pipe walls, Vicon uses the Aqua Rover™, a self propelled robotic system that uses Aqua Milling® jet cleaning heads designed to remove coatings, corrosion, hard scale or mill scale deposits. 

For the purposes of cleaning heat exchangers, Vicon uses the Aqua Lancer™ System, a state of the art air operated rigid lancing system using Aqua Milling® technology.

Aqua Milling®
Aqua Milling® cuts through scale on the inside of pipes using only high pressure water.

Benefits of Aqua Milling®
  • Fast setup: Access can be through a single point of entry
  • No dismantling of bends: Utilising a single access point, Aqua Milling® can clean up to 300m, cutting around multiple directional changes so avoiding costly dismantling of pipeline
  • No dismantling of vertical sections: Aqua Milling® easily drives through both horizontal and vertical sections. Ability to climb vertically 90m from ground level without support from above, using only water pressure
  • Versatile: Suitable for almost all pipe materials, even plastic and polycarbonates
  • Environmentally sound: Can completely contain hazardous materials and waste
  • Safe: Operators are not exposed to any reaction forces from jets, the whole operation being controlled remotely away from the point of access
  • Efficient: Aqua Milling® utilises the water pressure for descaling, retro or spinning jets are not used to drive and rotate the cutting nozzle
  • Flexibility: Application works on all scale pipes with diameters between 16mm and 2 metres
  • Mobility: Aqua Milling® is compact and can provide mobile on site support at any time. The unit is stored in a 20ft sea container making it reliably transportable both onshore and off shore
Aqua Lancer™
Aqua Lancer™ is a semi automated system designed for the cleaning of heat exchanger tubes that utilises a rigid lance mechanically driven in and out of the tubes. This ultra high pressure system is ideal for cleaning hard deposits and badly blocked tubes, safely and quickly.

Benefits of the Aqua Lancer™ System
  • Allows multiple heat exchanger tubes to be cleaned simultaneously, potentially cleaning > 1,200 tubes per 12 hour shift, depending on scale type
  • Spring loading prevents bending of lances
  • Compatible with all lance types: semi rigid, rigid, nozzle mounted
  • Cleans all exchangers: horizontal, vertical and oblique
  • Not constrained by direction of entry
  • Efficient setup and demobilisation times
  • Unique technology, not available off the shelf
  • Proven locally and globally to reduce exchanger down time
Aqua Rover™
Aqua Rover™ is a self propelled robotic system that uses Aqua Milling® jet cleaning heads designed to remove coatings, corrosion, and hard scale or mill scale deposits from large size internal diameter pipe walls.
