VERTEX Research has released a new range of reverse osmosis (R.O.) systems for the pharmaceutical industry.
The new range includes the model SS2-300 which is a double pass unit that produces purified water complying with the United States Pharmacopoeia monograph.
The SS2-300 is effectively two R.O. units in the one system. Municipal feed water must permeate through two membrane surfaces to yield 300l per hour of product water with very low organic and inorganic chemical content. Product water conductivity is maintained below the USP limit of 1.1 microsiemens per cm.
A patented membrane housing eliminates unswept voids that are found in most industrial R.O. configurations. The system's sanitary hydraulic design and automated flush cycle ensure consistently low levels of micro-organisms and endotoxins.
Australian designed and manufactured, the SS2-300 uses spiral wound membrane technology which allows the simplification of the total process resulting in a compact cabinet unit with minimal operator controls. Significant production economies are also achieved.
