Commercial ultrafiltration water treatment units from Vertex Hydropore come in three different models.  

Ultrafiltration technology uses self cleaning, hollow membranes to remove particles down to 0.03 microns. Apart from particles, ultrafiltration water treatment units can also remove cysts, bacteria and many viruses from product water. They can also be used to clean water for potable water applications and for pre-treatment for reverse osmosis systems.  

Suspended solids, including sub micron colloids, are able to be removed from town, river, dam, bore and sea water using this technology. However these water treatment units are not able to remove dissolved solids such as mineral salts or inorganic chemicals. In this situation, additional water treatment methods may have to be introduced to the process.  

UF-100 ultrafiltration water treatment units are suitable for town, well and rain water supplies. They have the capacity to process up to 3,600 litres per hour of product water. These units also have a microprocessor control for fully automatic operating.  

The UF-400 Series ultrafiltration water treatment unit has been designed for use for dam, river and rain water sources. Its capacity is 250 to 2,500 litres per hour of product water and the unit has a PLC control incorporated into its design for fully automatic operation.  

UF-8050 Series ultrafiltration water treatment units are also suited to dam, river and rain water sources. They have the capacity to process 1,500 to 6,000 litres per hour of product water. PLC control for fully automated operation is also included.  

These three models all have self cleaning filtration down to 0.03 microns and inside to outside flow for high water recovery.
