Infrastructure Constructions acquire D100x120 Series II drilling machine from Vermeer Australia

Infrastructure Constructions have bought the D100x120 Series II from Vermeer Australia . Infrastructure Constructions are involved in trenchless and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) for laying power or communications cables and water or gas pipelines.

The D100x120 Series II has begun drilling on a pipeline project for the regional council in Gladstone, Central Queensland. The machine is based at IC's facility at Acacia Ridge, Brisbane, and would undertake work throughout Australia for power distributors or retailers.

According to Infrastructure Constructions, the D100x120 Series II from Vermeer Australia can be used for drilling under rivers and roads and can drill bores up to 1,000 meters long.

Gladstone drilling project will be followed by Energex project on the Sunshine Coast, Mooloolaba and Integral Energy project at Wollongong, where D100x120 Series II will be in use.

The D100x120 Series II from Vermeer Australia is an alternative to the D80 machine and has 100,000 lbs of thrust and pullback.
