Vermeer Australia , offers removable dual rear tyres with a wide wheel base. These dual rear tyres provide stability and a differential lock on the 4WD system that could be disengaged for tight turning. Front-mounted controls offer manoeuvrability in confined spaces by allowing the operator to walk in-line with the machine.
The Vermeer SC852 stump cutter moves easily throughout the jobsite with a top speed of 150fpm (45.7 m/min) and then uses the creep control to ease into the right position for cutting.
The unit provides a full 9 inches (23cm) of ground clearance. It has enough space for chip containment, while the curved 34 inch (86cm) wide frontmounted chip blade moves chips around the jobsite easily thereby reducing the need for manual chip moving.
The Vermeer SC852 stump cutter gives a maximum cutting height of 31 inches (79cm) above ground and 25 inches (64cm) below the ground. The cutter wheel boom linkage design allows the cutter wheel to move away from the machine as the boom drops down towards the stump, reducing the need to reposition the entire unit.
A direct drive hydrostatic pump and gearbox eliminates clutch and belt-drive maintenance and reduces cutter wheel stopping time and daily service points. Other maintenance areas can be reached easily through hinged doors and removable panels.
The Vermeer SC852 rubber tyre stump cutter has been designed to fit through a 36-inch (91-cm) gate as well as provides 85 hp (63 kW) of power via a Cummins Tier 3 turbocharged diesel engine to make short work of any stump.
