Gold Coast City Council chooses the Gold Coast Desalination Alliance to design, build and operate seawater desalination plant

Gold Coast City Council awarded the Gold Coast Desalination Alliance to design, build and operate a seawater desalination plant at Tugun in Southern Queensland for 10 years.

The GCD Alliance consists of Veolia Water, John Holland Group and Gold Coast Water. The Seawater Reverse Osmosis desalination plant will produce 125 ML/day plant using pre-treatment, 2-pass Reverse Osmosis and post treatment and will provide drinking water to 450,000 people.
