A POS system from Vectron Systems Australia was chosen for implementation at the staff club of the University of Melbourne.
The prestigious private club with 2500 members needed a user-friendly POS solution to manage their entire hospitality operation including full stock control.
The POS system also had to connect all parts of the business from the bar and dining room through to function and takeaway operations.
John Macaulay, Operations Manager, University House explains that the Vectron POS system was installed for reasons of simplicity, reliability, versatility and support.
The club has been working with Vectron for several years and has received excellent support throughout from key management and support staff.
Highlights of Vectron’s POS system installed at the club:
- Six touch screens installed for food, beverage, function sales as well as takeaway and delivered beverage sales
- Fully integrated stock control system for a large cellar of reserved wines runs in real time
- Staff can track stock down to ingredient level and see variance and purchase history reports and profit analysis
- Stock transfers and purchase orders can be created automatically based on turnover
