WORCESTER Controls’ C44 cryogenic series of ball valves offer superior service life in tough and demanding applications. They are stocked and supplied in Sydney by Valve Distributors Pty Ltd .
The design incorporates a cavity relief hole drilled on the upstream side of the ball, eliminating the possibility of trapping liquid or gas in the cavity and thereby preventing dangerous overpressure due to thermal expansion. The stem design is blow-out proof and supported inside with thrust washers.
Belleville live-loaded PTFE packing rings and stem centering followers assure zero leakage to atmosphere.
The device’s bonnet extension keeps heat transfer down, the packing frost free, the operational torque low and an actuator solidly supported by conforming to standard industrial practices for wall thickness and length.
Seat and seal materials assure tight shutoff, zero body leakage and low torque at temperatures to -196°C.
Materials of construction include brass and 316 stainless steel and sizes range from 15mm to 150mm.
The valve is available in a variety of end connections including screwed, socket weld and butt weld. Flanged ANSI 150# and ANSI 300# are available on request.
Variations to the valve configuration include a diverter valve, wafer pattern valve and a cryogenic, metal seated control valve.
All the valves’ configurations are easily automated with the addition of pneumatic or electric actuators and a full range of accessories is available.
Worcester Controls cryogenic valves are 'clean room' assembled, helium leak tested, vacuum sealed and packed in a controlled environment to stringent specifications.
