THE China Meteorological Administration has chosen the Vaisala HydroMet data collection and processing system Milos520 for the organisation’s latest project. This year, some 41 Milos520 automatic weather stations will be installed in the Tibet Autonomic Region.
Amongst the chosen locations is Quomolangma, better known as Mount Everest. Here, the Milos520 will contribute to the understanding of atmospheric and environmental change. It will also provide a useful meteorological service, particularly to local tourism and all those interested in mountaineering.
