The WEB-VV is a web based data logging visualisation system used for inventory monitoring and management. Stock keeping and transport of raw materials are often the biggest cost factor for a company. With the business model of the managed inventory at the customers (Vendor Managed Inventory - VMI), both customer and supplier benefit from the close interaction of their processes. The basic prerequisite for effective inventory monitoring is reliable measurement data logging and the supplier's ability to gain access to the inventory data of the customer.
For this purpose, Vega Australia optimised their measurement data visualisation software Visual VEGA and made it web capable. The result is the WEB-VV data logging visualisation system.
The WEB-VV is a comfortable inventory visualisation monitoring system that is just as suitable for company networks as it is for worldwide measurement data logging.
The data collected by WEB-VV are made available as charts, bar graphs and history diagrams. Inventory limits are actively monitored and transmitted in time or event controlled e.g. through e-mail or SMS.
Vega Australia offer optimal sensors for level measurement of liquids and bulk solids. The measurement data are transmitted by remote transmission through standard interfaces (Ethernet, Modem, GSM, GPRS) to WEB-VV. This has advantages for both sides. The plant operator always has access to all the data he needs for production control. The supplier, on the other hand, can regularly enquire inventory data from a distant location and fill up stocks when required.
The WEB-VV is a system hosted on VEGA servers and offers the following advantages:
- Internet portal with safe access
- World-wide access via Internet browser
- Configurable user rights
- Interfaces for easy data export to ERP systems
