The PGI Retro-fit provide information on how the PMD and PGi range of products can be utilised for cutting out costly re-engineering time on replacement units. The following information is for replacing the early generation of Uticor PGI100 9" (100G-1M1RO) Mono touch panels, which uses the Uwin software 10F57 or 10F64.
Uticor AVG recommend the PGI version for replacing the 9 inch monochrome panel with the 8 inch 100G-8U1R0 touch panel. The 8 inch STN colour panel has the same cut out and mounting stud holes as the 9 inch monochrome touch panel. This panel runs on the uWIN software so that customers can use their existing application programme.
The 100G-8U1R0 is programmed with the uWIN software so that the customers can use their existing programmes. The 100G-8U1R0 touch panel, available from Balmoral Technologies , has a smaller screen, hence some objects may need to be resized. When more than 256K memory is needed, then the 100G-8U3R0 1Meg option can be used.
The 100G-8U1R0 touch panel is a colour panel, so some objects that were programmed in monochrome may fade or disappear. This means that some colour adjustments may be required. In that case, the colour tone tool in the UWin software can be used to bring the object back. This panel can be ordered with RAM or Flash and the software is available for free.
The touch panels are available in the following part numbers:
- Power Panel 100G-8U1R0 8" STN colour 24VDC
- Power Panel 100G-1U1R0 8" STN colour 115 VAC
The above units fits directly into the existing panel cut out of the PGI100 9 inch monochrome touch panel. However, the units are not available in 240 VAC power supply.
