Rollalong, a UK-based manufacturer of portable, temporary, semi-permanent and permanent buildings has added two more Nu-Star Power Pushers to its existing fleet of four units.
The two new Power Pushers are used to push, pull and manoeuvre the trolleys holding the building wall-panels from the sub-assembly workshop into the main building assembly area. These trolleys can weigh up to 2,000 kgs.
According to Rollalong, the first four Power Pushers have been used daily since their delivery in February 2003. These two additional Power Pushers have enabled Rollalong to further reduce its dependence on forklifts and free up more floor space to help meet increased demand.
Typically used to help increase productivity and reduce the likelihood of workplace injury, the Power Pusher is a pedestrian operated, battery powered, tug unit designed for pushing, pulling and manoeuvring rolling loads up to 40,000 kgs in weight for example trolleys, carts, bogies, chassis, railcars, dolleys etc.
Measuring just 1.4 m long and 670 mm wide, the Power Pusher is completely self-contained, has its own on-board battery charging system (240 V or 110 V input) and may be used both inside and outside.
Nu-Star provides a bespoke design and manufacturing service to meet demand from an ever growing range of industrial customers across Europe and worldwide.
The Power Pusher is available from Urethane & Machinery Supplies.
