UNIVER has launched a telescopic pneumatic cylinder that reduces the overall closed length by as much as 60 per cent compared with a conventional ISO cylinder.
This breakthrough has been achieved with the design of complex airflow paths through the aluminium extrusions of each stage.
The reduction in overall length means the cylinder is suitable for space saving applications without compromising the working stroke length.
Available in a range of bore sizes 32, 40, 50, and 63mm, with standard strokes up to 1800mm, the two or three stage telescopic cylinder is supplied as standard with a non-rotating rod, mechanical shock absorbers and magnetic piston.
The cylinder utilises ISO accessories, so a wide range of mountings is available.
When position sensors are required, magnetic limit switches are available that slide into the barrel extrusion: no mounting brackets are required.
The sensors are available as either electric with reed bulb, or electronic with Hall effect and magnetoresistance (normally open with PNP output).
