UNIVER has launched a double-acting, telescopic, pneumatic cylinder that reduces the overall closed length of the cylinder by as much as 60 per cent when compared with a conventional ISO cylinder.
This has been achieved with the design of complex airflow paths through the aluminium extrusions of each stage.
The reduction in overall length means the cylinder is suitable for space saving applications without compromising the working stroke length.
Available in a range of bore sizes -- 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, and 63mm, with standard strokes up to 1800mm -- the two or three-stage telescopic cylinder is supplied as standard with a non-rotating rod, mechanical shock absorbers, and magnetic piston.
The new cylinder also utilises Univer’s existing range of ISO cylinder accessories, allowing for a wide range of mounting options.
Position sensing is available via a flush-fitting reed switch that fits neatly into the barrel profile.
