UNIVER has launched two new ranges of compact cylinders, both incorporating a world first technical breakthrough - adjustable cushioning as standard, but with no changes in size.
Up to 35mm of cushioning is obtained from the design which is packaged within a 15mm envelope.
The cylinders have been specifically designed for applications requiring higher working speeds, and reduced shock levels.
The cushioning system allows the pneumatic cylinder to operate at a noise level of 70dB (A) in comparison to the 80dB (A) produced by cylinders without cushioning.
The first range has inter-axis, centring diameters and rods that conform to ISO 6431 and VDMA 24562 standards while the second range is in accordance with UNITOP specifications.
By conforming to the above standards, the compact cylinders can also utilise a wide range of standard mountings, as well as a mechanical piston rod locking unit.
Both versions are available in other configurations, including through-rod, non-rotating (with octagonal piston) and guided. Magnetic pistons are standard and the cylinders are designed to operate with or without lubrication.
When position sensors are required, magnetic limit switches are available that slide into the barrel extrusion; no mounting brackets are required.
