UNIST AUSTRALIA - Coolant Free Machining
Unist Australia has become widely known as the “
Coolant Eliminators” and our primary objective is simply to eliminate hazardous flood coolant where ever possible from the work environment.
This is achieved by our unique two pronged attack.
- By using a Unist precision applicator which will reliably deliver a repeatable amount of minute lubricant to the cutting area.
- By using Coolube 2210 a super high grade, pure vegetable cutting oil which penetrates directly to the cutting area.
The benefits achieved by this approach are numerous.
- Unist’s Coolube 2210 with its high lubicity is non toxic, non polluting non drying and non staining and because it is a renewable resource rates highly as a “green” lubricant.
- The oil, when used exclusively in a Unist applicator is applied neat, reduces friction greatly and therefore reduces the heat generated in the cutting operation.
- Our systems are extremely cost efficient. They are very economical to buy with simple installation and short set up times. The oil used in the applicator is used in minute amounts: typically 10ml per hour of continuous work achieving huge cost savings
- When applied correctly with a Unist applicator all the oil is consumed in the cutting operation producing near dry worked surface and near dry swarf or chips, therefore eliminating messing filtering of coolants and clean up of product and waste.
The Unist principle can be applied to most metal cutting operations. It is currently being successfully used in CNC, sawing, engraving, cutting, tapping, milling, routing, turning, grinding and roll forming, however this list is limited only by your imagination.
