B&K Precision, represented in Australia by Unispan Instruments , has released the model 601 and 602 battery capacity analysers.
The handheld, battery under test (BUT) powered analysers can be used to identify the percentage capacity of 6V and 12V lead acid batteries (Model 601) and 24V and 36V lead acid batteries (model 602) which may be defective or have deteriorated.
Their low cost and versatility makes them suitable for use by hotels, hospitals, offices, factories, cinemas or anywhere that requires battery back-up lighting or an uninterruptible power supply. Their small size and portability also makes them suitable for use in automotive service stations, field service and maintenance, telecommunications and UPS manufacturing and maintenance applications.
They provide a complete battery analysis in as little as six seconds. They are simple to operate and require no external power since they are powered by the battery under test.
They have a capacity display range of 0% to 100%, a maximum input voltage of 20V or 50V and ±2 counts no load voltage indication accuracy. They measure 80mm x 241mm x 41mm and weigh 1kg.
