B&K Precision, represented in Australia by Unispan Instruments , has released the 8500 300W programmable dc electronic load. It is fully-programmable via the standard RS-232 or optional USB interface.
It offers a high degree of accuracy and outstanding front-panel display resolution. It comes in a bench-top chassis that measures 105.664mm x 254mm x 381mm and it is suitable for dc power and dc-dc converter testing calibration and automated test systems.
It operates between 0V-120V dc and 1mA-0A (300W max). It has a resolution of 0.1mA/1.mV (range dependent) and a VFD display. It is over-current, over-voltage, over-power and over-temperature-protected. It offers CV/CC/CW/CR operation, an optional USB interface, a thermostat-controlled internal fan, and an RS-232 interface cable and software.
It is a dc electronic load-based tester that includes the necessary control and firmware capabilities to make it a complete and self-contained solution for automated functional testing of power devices. Through the front panel, test programs can be created and then repeatedly executed with a single keystroke. Test results can be sent to the front panel, printer or a PC.
