Ultra Hawke Scales and Systems has fitted nine remote displays to a demanding weighbridge application installed at the Mount Gibson’s Tallering Peak mine site to allow road train drivers to easily view the weights of each axle group to assist with compliance of legal axle loading for road use.
This weighbridge comprises eight individual weighbridge decks, each connected to its own remote display plus another remote display for showing total combined weights.
Nine (9) Rinstrum D740 remote displays fitted with 120mm high bright LED digits are mounted on a fabricated stand with the remote displays angled towards the seated height of the road train drivers to ensure high visibility under all ambient lighting conditions.
Rinstrum’s D740 remote displays are completely sealed before small breather holes are drilled in the undersides of the alloy extrusion to avoid condensation caused by the extreme temperature variations in the WA desert.
The weighbridge is used for weighing road trains hauling iron ore with gross truck weights around 160 tonnes spread over the eight axle groups.
Ultra Hawke Scales and Systems can supply various models of remote display to suit several applications, large or small digit heights, for internal or exterior use.
