A truck weighbridge was recently commissioned at a poultry abattoir near Lae in Papua New Guinea. Supplied by Ultrahawke Weighbridges in Melbourne, the truck weighbridge is being used for weighing incoming chickens and animal feeds as well as outgoing deliveries.
Measuring 18 metres long with a deck width of 3.5 metres between the main beams, Ultrahawke’s truck weighbridge has a weighing capacity of 60 tonnes. The heavy duty weighbridge deck is supported on six Flintec RC3 stainless steel load cells sealed to an IP68 rating for water submersion in excess of one metre.
Ultrahawke truck weighbridges are designed to last many years. To minimise potential corrosion from weakening the supporting structure, all steelwork is fully hot dip galvanised. All Ultrahawke weighbridges are highly resistant to lightning damage due to the surge arrestors incorporated within each load cell and the junction boxes.
Also supplied was Ultrahawke’s weighbridge software pre-installed on a desktop PC to accurately track all truck movements over the weighbridge. Comprehensive Management Reporting is also available to allow each and every field to be sorted and/or reported on.
Ultrahawke manufacturers both steel deck and concrete deck truck weighbridges fitted with either analog or fully digital load cell weighing systems. The company has a national network of trained and experienced agents throughout all Australian states providing complete after sales service and support.
