Concrete deck weighbridges from UltraHawke Scales and Systems are used in a variety of applications, and one was recently installed for Hancock Farm Company at Welcome Creek, near Bundaberg in Queensland.
The weighbridge will be used to accurately measure the weight of macadamia nuts leaving the farm for processing.
As with all concrete deck weighbridges manufactured by Ultrahawke, this unit is Australian made, with all metalwork produced at the company’s own dedicated weighbridge manufacturing facility in Campbellfield, Victoria.
Recent farm expansion prompted the purchase of the weighbridge, which required a higher level of accountability on expected payments from nut processors.
Ultrahawke commissioned Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane to install and certify the concrete deck weighbridge for trade use.
Designed as an above ground unit, the weighbridge measures 28 metres long by 3.5 metres wide, and features a weighing capacity of 80 tonnes.
The weighbridge is supported by eight stainless steel Flintec RC3 load cells, of 30 tonne capacity each, with a Rinstrum R5000 digital weight indicator generating the weight readings.
Truck drivers are also able to see their truck weight from within the cab via a large digit remote display which is mounted externally.
