The truck scales are positioned on either side of a new weighbridge office erected at the landfill site’s entrance.
The concrete deck truck scales measure 18m in length with a weighing capacity of 60T in 0.02T increments and are used to record vehicle weights of trucks entering and leaving the landfill site.
The weighing electronics include six Flintec stainless steel load cells and a Ranger 5000 digital weight indicator fitted to both sets of truck scales.
The truck scales are also fitted with high-tech video surveillance systems for vehicle identification, load recognition and digital video recording of all traffic movements over the truck scales.
The Landfill Software packages along with a PC system were also supplied by UltraHawke for tracking all vehicle movements over the truck scales sorted by vehicle, type of load, destination and company.
Two printers are fitted to the truck scales system including an internal printer for office use as well as an external printer mounted on a pole that prints a weight docket for the truck driver.
UltraHawke is a major Australian weighbridge manufacturer with truck scales manufactured in their own dedicated truck scales manufacturing facility in Campbellfield in Melbourne’s north.
