A load cell weighbridge is being used for accurately tracking the volumes of incoming waste destined for the Horsham City Council’s landfill site in Victoria.
Supplied and installed by Ultrahawke Weighbridges in Melbourne, the load cell weighbridge required extensive piling work to ensure a stable base in the highly reactive soil at the landfill site.
Ultrahawke’s Australian made twenty metre long weighbridge is supported on six heavy duty Flintec load cells which are manufactured in stainless steel and fully sealed to an IP68 rating. All fabrication was done in Ultrahawke’s own weighbridge manufacturing facility located in Campbellfield in Melbourne’s north using locally produced BHP steel.
To ensure longevity, all weighbridge steel work is hot dip galvanised for strong corrosion resistance. A large digit remote display relays weight readings to allow the truck drivers to confirm their vehicle’s weight readings when entering the landfill facility.
Certified for trade use, the load cell weighbridge was also supplied with Ultrahawke’s Refuse/Recycling Manager weighbridge software to track all waste deliveries. Pre-installed on a supplied PC, the weighbridge software is connected to a docket printer to print hardcopies of all weighing transactions.
