Dual weighbridges from UltraHawke Scales and Systems have been configured for unattended weighbridge operations at Gunn’s Timber Products plant in Portland, Victoria.
Supplied by UltraHawke, Melbourne, the dual unattended weighbridges were installed side by side to allow simultaneous weighings of trucks entering and departing the plant.
The dual unattended weighbridges feature a single Driver Control Station (DCS) that employs dual digital weight indicators fitted with a Dallas Card Reader to automatically input details of the truck and owner, minimising data entry requirements.
Drivers use a full colour touch screen interface with visual prompts to quickly and accurately enter their load details with minimum keystrokes. The data entered into the DCS is forwarded to the client’s SAP system via a network connection.
The DCS in the dual unattended weighbridges additionally controls traffic lights and positional sensors fitted to each weighbridge to ensure correct weighing sequences are followed.
One of Australia’s oldest manufacturers of heavy duty weighing equipment, UltraHawke offers fully Australian-made weighbridges using local BHP steel at their dedicated weighbridge facility in Campbellfield, Victoria.
In addition to industry-standard analogue load cells, UltraHawke can also supply fully digital load cells and weight indicators manufactured by Flintec, one of the world’s leading suppliers of digital weighing electronics and load cells.
