Die-cast housings, resistance to humidity and condensation and an IP 69k protection rating make the Sendix encoders exceptionally suitable for outdoor use.
These Kübler by Turck single-turn magnetic absolute encoders use patented Sensor-Protect technology to deliver fully encapsulated electronics and separated mechanical assembly, providing a high resistance to shock (rated to 500 g) and vibration (rated to
30 g). The Sendix encoders are assembled using proprietary Safety-Lockplus technology. This technology utilises interlocking bearings on the flange and a mechanically protected shaft seal to protect the encoder from external debris during installation.
These features, combined with an operating range of -40 to 85° C and the non-contact nature of the devices, help ensure the encoders’ resistance to wear.
The Sendix encoders come equipped with an LED to help ease installation and simplify diagnostics, as well as an integral cable or M12 connector. Since the Sendix encoders’ diameter is only 36 mm, they may also be applied in space restrictive locations.
Sendix encoders for CANopen networks may be programmed via the bus for node address, baud rate and termination, delivering fast, error-free start-up. This also allows users to obtain position or speed data in real time.
Other parameters such as scale factors, preset values and limit switch values may also be programmed via the bus.
