Trimble Australia will be working with world-leading fleet insurer, Zurich to offer fleet management solutions to fleet operators in Australia and New Zealand.
Zurich’s integrated fleet risk management program, Zurich Fleet Intelligence (ZFI) is now available to Zurich customers in Australia and New Zealand.
Trimble Field Service Management (FSM) and Transport and Logistics (T&L) Divisions will offer fleet management and driver safety solutions to Zurich customers seeking ways to minimise operating costs and reduce risk, while keeping their vehicles up-and-running and drivers safe.
Tom Scahill, Business Area Director, Australia and New Zealand, Field Service Management, Transport and Logistics Divisions, Trimble Navigation explains that Trimble will offer Zurich's risk management and driver training services to complement its own industry-leading telematics solutions that help organisations manage risks, increase fleet driver safety and improve productivity.

Key benefits of the ZFI program:
- Optimises vehicle journey planning and deployment
- Reduces vehicle running costs
- Achieves increased fuel economy
- Reduces the occurrence of vehicle crashes through defensive driving training
- Influences future insurance premiums
- Improves employees' driving skills and knowledge
- Reduces stress and fatigue amongst drivers through coaching and development
- Improves the fleet's impact on the environment
Zurich will not receive any fee or commission when a customer selects the telematics services.
Mervyn Rea, Regional Risk Engineering Manager for Zurich adds that Zurich Fleet Intelligence in conjunction with fleet management solutions offered by Trimble is a cost effective way for fleet operators to manage vehicles and drivers in a safe and customer-centric manner.
Key benefits for fleet managers from improved fleet utilisation and driver behaviour include positive savings in fuel consumption, carbon emissions, maintenance and running costs as well as reduced crashes and increased wellbeing of employees.
