The Wenglor X1TA101MHV80 distance measurement sensors from Treotham present scratch-resistant optics and the option to switch the emitted light off. It is also possible to achieve a highly accurate position measurement at large distances by using a suitable reflector at the object. Configurations are selected using an on-board menu that can be protected by a password while its measuring range is determined by object remission and the size of the reflector (if used).
The transmitter and the receiver are integrated into a single housing. As the sensors measure the distance between the sensor and the object and utilise the principle of transit-time measurement, the object's colour, shape and surface characteristics have practically no influence on measurement results. Even dark objects can be reliably recognised against bright backgrounds.
The sensors work on a supply power of 18 to 30 V DC and the configuration can be easily set using the three on-board buttons and screen, including a password (PIN). The sensor offers Analog output (0- 10vdc, 4-20 mA).
All settings can also be configured using a PC and uploaded to the device. RS-232 interface connections RxD (5) and TxD (4) are linked to minus (pin 3, green), and can be connected to the corresponding terminals at the communication partner. The interface makes use of the software handshake procedure.
