Treotham presents the Reer Admiral AX-LR safety light grid designed for the protection of workers exposed to risks arising out of the use of dangerous machines specifically in outdoor applications.
The IP 67 heated version with -25°C to +55°C makes the AX-LR (Long Range - 60m) an ideal choice even in harsh Australian environments.
Admiral AX-LR safety light grids feature two safe PNP static outputs and can work without any external control unit, having all the safety functions integrated inside the emitter and the receiver.
Compliant with the requirements of the European Standard EN 61496-1 and of the International Standard IEC 61496-1-2, the Admiral AX-LR integrates the start/restart interlock function as well as External Device Monitoring (EDM).
The AX-LR DB/ AX-LR DB WTH versions featuring an innovative dual beam system are useful in outdoor applications and in harsh environments for decreasing the light curtain sensitivity to small objects such as leaves and snow.
Feature highlights of the Reer Admiral AX-LR safety light grids include extremely easy connection and installation thanks to the M12 connectors and the use of standard cables; integration of the main safety functions, including self-monitoring of the safety circuits - external device monitoring (EDM) and the Start/Restart interlock functions for the AX models; reliability in the field, thanks to the rugged construction and high level of immunity to external interference (optical, EMC, etc.); and Master/Slave models for cascade connection of two light curtains and models with floating blanking, and wide variety of heights and resolutions.
Special versions in WT/WTH watertight enclosure in addition to special models in conformity with the ATEX Directive 94/9/CE – Dust Zone 22 - Gas Zone 2 are available on request.
Admiral safety light curtains may be connected to the dedicated safety interfaces series AD SR, or directly to contactors actuated and controlled by the light curtain, or to MOSAIC or suitable commercial safety modules or safety PLCs.
