A HARD-wearing igus energy chain designed to allow quick fitting and removal of sensitive cables for carriage of power and communications has been released on the Australian market by Treotham Trading .
The E2/000 Series incorporates a locking system that snaps open and closed on either a single or double radius of the chain.
"For applications requiring frequent access to the protected cables or circumstances where working space is at a premium, the igus E2/000 can snap open at both the inside and outside radius," Treotham managing director Mikael Paltoft said.
"In situations where only the inside radius is required for cable access, a 'half energy tube' is manufactured with the outside radius in a fixed (closed) position."
The family of E2/000 energy chains has inner heights of 21mm, 25mm, 35mm and 45mm and is applicable in many installations ranging from commercial offices through harsh industrial environments.
Flexible interior shelving as well as connection variations are available to facilitate circumstances when extra flexibility is needed.
Closure crossbars can be opened and closed manually, and fracture-proof swivelling of the closure crossbars is possible in both directions.
Mounting brackets and interior shelving have positive-locking fit, with interior shelving and mounting brackets each available in three variations.
