Leading supplier of transport and logistics solutions, Translogix Software announces the successful adoption of its Warehouse Management Software by third party logistics (3PL) start-up 101Warehousing.
Headquartered in Moorabbin, Victoria, 101Warehousing provides traditional pick-and-pack warehousing services to retail and FMCG companies but it is the growing demand of the online market that is driving the business.
The company has expanded rapidly by implementing sophisticated software systems to respond to the high level of service and data access required by online retailers. The TransLogix WMS solution was selected for reasons such as functionality, local presence and back-office support that would support 101Warehousing in providing faster throughput at lower cost.
Adrian Kagan, Commercial and Finance Director at 101Warehousing explains that the company operates on a philosophy of simplifying the warehousing and distribution process using advanced technology. 101Warehousing combines traditional pick-and-pack warehousing with online customers that require a different picking methodology.
TransLogix Sales and Marketing Director Ralf Moller says the success of 101Warehousing is an excellent example of the opportunities currently being created through the online retail boom with 3PL providers able to target both traditional and emerging markets simultaneously using the right software. He adds that the technology is providing efficiencies to 101Warehousing, which enable the company to expand rapidly by servicing the emerging online markets while also helping to win traditional business by facilitating high levels of customer service and engagement.
