Intermec have announced that Tracknology will join the global Intermec programme. Tracknology have certified the Intermec CN3 hardware platform with their Tracknology mobility suite.
According to Paul Weiss, Software Channel Manager, Southern Region, Intermec, Intermec offer a wide range of high level rugged and semi-rugged mobile hardware devices for the industrial mobile road warrior such as couriers, transport companies, service repair companies including plumbers, electricians, all service trades as well as utilities in the asset tracking and servicing sector. Intermec acknowledge that the Tracknology offer is a powerful solution to market, given Tracknology’s advanced scheduling, dispatch, document management and GPS systems.
Tracknology have also announced the ‘try before you buy’ offer in the Australian market for Tracknology products. The try before you buy investment model enables potential users to view and use an Intermec CN3 device with modified mobile content to client specific data capture requirements, and the advanced dispatch and scheduling system. Through the ‘try before you buy’ offer, customers can receive their devices after a thorough testing. To complement the limited time offer, Tracknology can partner with third party telecommunication service providers to assist with competitive voice and data plans.
During the initial demonstration of the products with a customer, they will modify the mobile component in front of them to include their data capture requirements, load it to an Intermec CN3 device and leave it with them to trial for a week. By providing the market with a functional pilot or proof of concept at no cost under the try before you buy arrangement, which can reduce the financial and operational risk component.
For 10 devices or less, Tracknology have agreed to modify their electronic forms for data capture, provide advanced dispatch and scheduling systems, web based training and deployment of devices for a nominal fee per device per month (plus equipment costs). While some other costs might apply for data integration, customised reports outside of their standard reporting suite or for third party expenses (installation), the offer allows businesses of any size access to workforce mobility and gain a rapid return on investment.
Tracknology have been working for some time on providing a user configurable mobile software application that eliminates or reduces much of the cost in cumbersome development requirements.
