Tuesday the 23rd of October will see the launch of the event that focus on traceability in the supply chain. TraceTech-ID will take place from 23-24 October at the Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh Sydney.
The keynote speaker from the USA, Nick Tsougas formerly with the USA Department of Defence and now Director, Insight Program for Oracle has agreed to present an additional session on day 2.
Nick Tsougas will open the new TraceTech-ID conference by giving the keynote speech on why Traceability is the key to unlocking value and gaining competitive advantage in your supply chain.
Nick will define traceability and why it is important, and give an overview of the range of Auto ID technologies available. He will analyse the multiple layers within the architecture—each pallet, carton, product—nesting—and then link to the total data collection, with data acquisition techniques like manual data entry, system to system data, RFID, GPS, voice and video.
Nick will close the conference on day 2 with a special session - an in-depth review of RFID, a key auto ID technology.
Today’s requirement for item or ingredient level track and trace will most likely mean that the leading edge devices of today and tomorrow, which include RFID and sensors, will be required to collect and communicate this information.
Nick will provide case study examples and expand on the different RFID technologies pertaining to the various supply chain areas e.g. RTLS, cold chain, food traceability.
