TOYOTA Material Handling's Western Australia distributorship has delivered its 100th new machine after just six months of operations.
Broome-based Mackaay Digging Services purchased the 100th machine, a Toyota Huski 4SDK8 skid-steer loader. It is the company's third Toyota skid steer and its first brand-new Huski model.
Company principal Hans Mackaay said he bought the new Huski on the basis of Toyota durability and reliability.
"We appreciate the toughness and reliability of the Toyota machine," he said. "It's also the fastest machine across the ground in its segment, so it saves time on the job site."
Hans Mackaay was involved in heavy commercial reticulation works before establishing Mackaay Digging Services in 1995 and relocating to Broome in 1998.
"We bought our first Toyota Huski, a second-hand machine, 12 or 13 years ago and we used another second-hand machine before buying the new machine in March 2006,” said Mr Mackaay.
Hans and his son Mark, the company's Huski operator, drove 2800k from Broome to Perth to collect the new 4SDK8.
"We'll go anywhere in Kimberleys and Pilbara if people need us - we recently did a job in Onslow, which is 1600km from Broome," said Mr Mackaay.
