More forklifts for explosive company

Supplier News

TWO new diesel forklift trucks are keeping 30 Western Australian mines supplied with explosives.

Mining explosives specialist Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific commissioned two 3t-payload Toyota 7FD30 forklifts earlier this year at its Kalgoorlie plant.

It chose the machines on the basis of superior customer support and the responsiveness of award-winning Western Australian Toyota dealer Liftrite.

Dyno Nobel’s Kalgoorlie branch manager, Tim Walker, said when the branch needed two new forklifts he encouraged the company’s purchasing staff to contact Liftrite.

Walker said the company chose diesel forklifts to suit the handling of dangerous goods.

“The forklifts work in a plant environment, unloading trucks, batching and moving containers of raw materials used to make explosives,” he said.

“We commissioned the forklifts in February and, since then, we’ve had excellent feedback from the operators,” Walker said.
