Tox Pressotechnik  offers Handheld/Machine Tongs for a wide range of sheet metal clinching applications. The Handheld/Machine Tongs have been designed with the operator in mind.

The significant features of Tox Handheld/Machine Tongs include the following:

• Robust and durable
• Ideal handling due to: flexible hose connection to the pressure intensifier, well thought-out rotary coupling for oil, air and electric, sturdy, swivelling hanging bracket for attachment of a balancer
• Service friendly

Some of the Handheld Tongs can also be used as machine mounted units, which are supplied with tapped mounting holes in place of the handles.

CMH 01.45 Retractable Tongs: Pressforce 45kN at 6 bar air pressure
Tox Pressotechnik’s Retractable Tongs was originally designed for joining of ventilation sheet metal ducts. The Retractable Tongs feature robust and flexible handling due to the integration of the energy lines in the suspension arm, which can be rotated 360°.

In addition, these tongs provide high repeatability of the defined, adjustable stroke (X dimension) and long tool life.

CMH 02.30 Flange Tongs: Pressforce 30kN at 6 bar air pressure
The CMH 02.30 Flange Tongs can join small flanges using these super compact Tongs with solid punch and die. These tongs have extremely long tool life.

CMH 03.45 Handheld Tongs: Pressforce 45kN at 470 bar oil pressure
These C-frame Tongs, with axial joining direction, can be used as a portable handheld Tongs for mobile applications, with 1- or 2-hand controls. These tongs can also be used in machines, either fixed mount or with an indexing slide.

New: immediate expansion of the product line with additional frames offering 50, 75 and 100mm throat depths.
The hydraulic pressure is provided by a pneumatic operated TOX Pressure Intensifier BES or PHA.

CMH 04.45 Handheld Tongs: Pressforce 45kN at 470 bar oil pressure
These rugged X-(scissor action) Handheld Tongs, with lateral joining direction, come equipped with a single trigger 1-hand control and a tool opening of 6mm for safety.

The hydraulic pressure is provided by a pneumatic operated TOX Pressure Intensifier PHA. There are many other version and control possibilities.

CHH 03.45 and CHH 03.75 Handheld Tongs: Pressforce 45 / 75kN at 250 bar oil pressure
These heavy duty C-frame Tongs, with axial joining direction, are available with 1- or 2-Hand controls. They can also be ordered as machine mount units. The hydraulic pressure is provided by a pneumatic operated TOX-Pressure Intensifier PHA.
