Toshiba TEC Australia announces a revolutionary paper reusing system featuring an erasable toner to reduce cost in the cleanroom.
Presented by Toshiba TEC, a global leader in printing and imaging solutions, the new e-STUDIO306LP/RD30 paper reusing system is recommended for the manufacturing industry, specifically manufacturing facilities for semiconductors or LCDs that have cleanrooms to avoid failure caused by dust in the atmosphere.
Although paper generates dust by friction, the material is still used in cleanrooms. To protect sensitive products, the facility uses higher quality papers specially formulated to minimise particles and fibres. However, this cleanroom paper is very expensive, and in some cases it costs more than 10 times compared to the ordinary office paper.
The e-STUDIO306LP/RD30 is a unique MFP system with erasable toner that enables paper to be reused multiple times while archiving the documents electronically via its scanning function. Since its launch, e-STUDIO306LP/RD30 has been installed in several organisations all endeavouring to reduce their cost.
In Japan, a manufacturer of photomasks, which is used in the manufacturing of electronic components such as semiconductors, has introduced Toshiba’s paper reusing system to reuse cleanroom paper in their cleanroom. Till the introduction of the e-STUDIO306LP/RD30, the cleanroom papers were discarded after being used once, just like ordinary papers even though they were expensive. However, by reusing this expensive cleanroom papers several times with Toshiba’s paper reusing system, it contributed to significant savings for the facility.
