THE Gasmet DX series FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) multi-component gas analyser combines the full capacity of a CEM system with portability. It is available from Thomson Environmental Systems.
The unit allows for simultaneous quantification of up to 50 different gas components including H20, CO2, CO, SO2, NO, NO2, N2O, HF, HCL, NH3, VOCs, hydrocarbons and formaldehyde.
The portable FTIR gas analyser uses the exceptional speed and specificity of FTIR spectroscopy and is designed specifically for industrial and environmental applications such as continuous emission monitoring, stack testing, process monitoring, quality control, engine exhaust monitoring and research.
The Gasmet DX series can perform simultaneous measurements of both organic and inorganic compounds, as well as analyse hot, wet corrosive gas streams.
Measurement capabilities range from low ppms up to percent levels. Concentrations of several different compounds can be measured within seconds.
A corrosion resistance sample cell is heated up to temperatures of 180°C, eliminating the additional need for complicated sample dilution or water vapour removal systems.
The Gasmet DX also offers excellent calibration stability, simple operation and low cost maintenance.
An integral part of the system is the Calcmet-software. Calcmet analyses the sample spectrum, operates the Gasmet and controls automated sampling system units.
Using Calcmet cross interference effects are compensated for and analysis accuracy is maintained when analysing complex gas mixtures with spectral overlapping.
