Leading Australasian tank manufacturer The Tasman Tank Co. introduces bolted RTP (rolled, tapered panel) steel silos to its range of storage solutions.

Bolted RTP steel silos are designed for the storage of a wide range of dry bulk materials including minerals, chemicals, limestone, lime, coal, cement, aggregates, foods, plastic resins, wood waste and meal products.

Already known as a leading Australasian liquid storage company, the Tasman Tank Company offers the RTP dry bulk storage silos through its affiliated group company and a global leader in storage solutions and containment, the US-based Tank Connection.

Tasman Tank Company provides a complete storage system package including auxiliary equipment, fill and discharge equipment, process equipment, foundation design and supply, weigh scales as well as automated controls among others.

David Baker, Major Project Sales Manager with the Tasman Tank Company says the company can now cover all dry bulk storage demands for Australia and New Zealand.

RTP dry bulk storage silos feature the Fusion 5000 FBE (fusion bond epoxy) tank lining system on the inside.

The tank lining system offers superior flow promotion qualities coupled with superior abrasion resistance.

The tank exterior is protected with Fusion 5000 FBE epoxy powder fused to substrate with a fused topcoat of Ext Fusion SDP (super durable polyester) to offer excellent exterior performance in dry bulk applications.

Tasman Tank Company supplies dry bulk storage tanks for a wide range of dry bulk materials including cement storage systems, coal storage systems, lime storage systems and mineral storage systems.

Hopper gravity discharge is available in a variety of designs including skirted tanks, drive-through skirted tanks, tanks on structures, tanks on load cells and tanks elevated on structural legs.

Bolted RTP dry bulk storage silos can be constructed in the field in less than half the time required for field-weld construction.

Occupational Health and Safety on the work site is another major consideration with the modular bolted steel systems since everything is hydraulically jacked from the floor up as the tank is built including the tank’s roof.

Unlike other storage tank systems, Tasman Tank’s RTP dry bulk storage silos can be built without scaffolding, minimising disturbance to the rest of the building or site.

Bolted tanks are being preferred over existing alternatives for advantages such as lower initial cost, reduced maintenance expense and long-term durability.
