The Mandaroo Mining Facility houses around five thousand miners in Western Australia and operates a recreational building where employees can consume alcohol and engage in other forms of entertainment such us watching television.
Trellis security gates have been used within the mining camp to divide the recreational areas, particularly when access to the pub area is restricted.
The same series of top hung security doors have been installed within a man-riding cage at the New Gold’s Peak Gold Mine facility in Cobar. The cages are traditionally used to hoist material or people and the security trellis gates allow safe interlocking of cage doors during use.
ATDC’s trellis security grilles are also being increasingly used on mining sites to protect electrical services and prevent tampering with power boards, as airflow and visibility can be maintained when the trellis door is closed and locked.
The grilles have been used to prevent public access to high pressure water valves and water hydrants in narrow corridors.
Benefits of the trellis security gates from the Australian Trellis Door Company:
- Occupy minimal room
- Invisible during the day
- Galvanised against corrosion
- Ornately designed and finished
