Users can imagine if they could scrub the floors clean only with water. Tennant have done that with their patented, chemical-free ec-H2O cleaning technology. The ec-H2O cleaning technology has recently earned Tennant, the 2009 European Business Award (EBA) for Business Innovation of the Year.
According to Karel Huijser, Vice President International, Tennant, the independent recognition of the ec-H2O technology has strengthened the belief that developing environmental cleaning solutions is the right way to go. In these challenging economic times, the customers can also benefit from cost-savings and efficiency increases while at the same time they can preserve natural resources.
Tennant were selected from among 10 finalists for the award, including Honeywell and eight other prominent European Fortune 100 firms. Over 7000 applications were received for the EBA. This is the second International award given to Tennant for ec-H2O within the past year. In 2008, R&D magazine recognized ec-H2O as a top 100 innovation.
Available on a number of the Tennant and Nobles branded commercial scrubbers, ec-H2O electrically converted water cleans with the same or better results as traditional cleaning detergents. This break-through innovation offers commercial cleaning operations a sustainable scrubbing solution without the financial and environmental costs associated with conventional cleaning chemicals.
