Tennant  have announced that their breakthrough ec-H2O technology is now available on the Tennant T7 and T15 battery-powered rider scrubbers. ec-H2O converts plain tap water into a powerful cleaning agent without any added chemicals.

Tennant ec-H2O technology was introduced in 2007 on the Tennant T3, T5 and 5680/5700 walk-behind automatic scrubbers. Its extension to Rider Scrubbers helps to round out Tennant portfolio of offerings to their growing commercial and light industrial customer base within aviation, distribution, education, food and beverage, healthcare, light manufacturing and retail applications.

Tennant ec-H2O technology has been well received globally in a wide array of commercial and light industrial applications. The extension to the battery-power scrubber portfolio is another step in delivering the customer commitment regarding the health, safety and environmental benefits of chemical-free cleaning.

In 2008, ec-H2O was named by R&D Magazine as one of the significant technological innovations of the year. Tennant ec-H2O also received the 2008 Australian Business Award for Best Eco-Friendly Product. Machines equipped with ec-H2O deliver proven cleaning results without the negative environmental and health concerns associated with producing, packaging, transporting, using, and disposing of traditional cleaning chemicals.

ec-H2O begins as water and ends as water, so it can be handled and disposed of easily and safely and it uses 70% less water than traditional cleaning methods, which increases scrub time up to three times per tank. The ec-H20 leaves behind no slippery detergent residue on the floor and it releases no used detergent discharge into water systems. The ec-H20 eliminates the need for chemical additives enhance worker safety and reduces costs for purchasing and disposal of chemicals.
