Temperature Controls  have released their Tego range of modular plug in temperature sensors.

The Tego range has been developed as a flexible temperature sensing system that allows a customer to use plug in thermocouples or RTD sensors with or without 2 wire 4 - 20mA transmitters fitted into the sensor stem body eliminating the need for a terminal head.

The connector system allows the customer to change a temperature sensor on a process line without the need to disconnect or reconnect wiring. Utilising a standard DIN 43650 3 pin and earth connector allows the Tego range to maintain IP65 protection rating.

This Tego connection system allows for temperature probes to be removed for calibration testing or replacement with a minimum of interruption to the process and complete safety as the operator does not have to use electrical tools.

The Tego modular system also allows for the fitting of a compact 2 wire loop powered multi input transmitter that can accept all the thermocouple and RTD inputs available in Australia; the transmitter is easily programmed using a Hart Protocol modem connected to a computer.

The DIN 43650 connector allows for the fitting of an optional loop powered LED digital display, this display is also IP65 protection rated, with a bright 7mm high LED display that can be rotated to suit the application and then scaled into engineering units with an adjustable decimal point.
