TEMA Engineers Pty Ltd has been manufacturing Siebtechnik coarse coal centrifuges in Sydney for almost 30 years.
For the majority of this period they have been the leading manufacturer of centrifuges for the Australian coal industry.
Siebtechnik developed the first horizontal coarse coal centrifuge in 1957 and the first horizontal fine coal centrifuge in 1981.
Tema/Siebtechnik continue to be world leaders in coal centrifuge technology with the release of the HSG1650 coarse coal centrifuge and the H1200 fine coal centrifuge.
Tema Engineers has manufactured, installed, commissioned and serviced over 400 centrifuges in Australia and overseas.
Since 2000 they have manufactured over 200 coal centrifuges with many of these being for the rapidly expanding China coal market.
Based on strong market preference in China, Tema Engineers has been able to develop a successful export market through several local and foreign companies who are building processing plants in China.
The company’s competitive pricing and short delivery has also resulted in coal centrifuge export orders to Indonesia, South Africa, Vietnam and New Zealand.
The proven low maintenance and operating costs, due to the robust design and superior technology, has also lead to many repeat orders, says Tema.
A major expenditure and upgrading of Tema’s machine shop facilities has just been completed with new CNC equipment installed to control the capital and spares costs.
Service to the growing Queensland coal industry has also been improved by the opening of a Tema Engineers Queensland branch.
The New South Wales coal industry is serviced from both Sydney and Newcastle as well as through alliances with a number of maintenance contractors.
