Extrusion lines and equipment from Telford Smith Engineering

Telford Smith Engineering  manufacture extrusion equipment. Telford Smith Engineering not only provide Single and Twin extruders but also offer complete extrusion lines. Telford Smith Engineering produce pipes, profile, film or wires and cables as per clients’ industrial needs. Extruded sheets and fibres also form a part of the products offered by Telford Smith Engineering.

The extruders from Telford Smith Engineering have customised bases with sufficient rigidity and precise alignment. They can be fabricated to suit the factory layout and any other specifications.

Technically-sound screws form the base of the extruders. Telford Smith Engineering have developed different screw designs to meet individual and specific requirements. They produce both conventional screw designs as well as special application screws according to requirements.

Each major component of the extruder, whether it is the basic barrel, the barrel vent or the head clamp, is designed with precision and the necessary engineering principles. The feed section and the feed hopper are available in different designs and sizes. At Telford Smith Engineering, care is taken to optimise the functioning of the gear box, the main drive motor and the control cabinet. Each extruder is guarded for safety and ease of application.

Outotec FloatForce technology proves lower energy consumption Outotec FloatForce technology proves lower energy consumption (4-Dec-2008)
Outotec’s new rotor and stator design, FloatForce, extends the maximum air feed limit. As a result, the cell surface is steady in all situations and the pumping rate of the mechanism is only slightly affected by air. Because of the flat power curve, less power is needed when the mechanism is operated with little or no air. This allows smaller motors and benefits both in investment and operating costs.
