Tecpro Australia recently supplied special high flow spray nozzles from the PNR Evaporative Cooling range to Alstom Power for the emergency gas cooling sprays being installed as part of a refurbishment.
These special emergency gas cooling sprays are designed to rapidly reduce gas temperatures when they reach a defined level to prevent the gas igniting the bag filters.
The design of these emergency gas cooling sprays specifies nozzles with a very high flow rate that could also produce extremely small droplets. The water droplets produced need to evaporate quickly and cool the gas, but the spray must not carry to the filter bags.
Tecpro Australia selected special high flow spray nozzles from the PNR Evaporative Cooling range that had low air requirements, yet produced fine droplets at large water flowrates.
In a separate part of the Alstom Power plant, Tecpro Australia also supplied special high impact nozzles and stainless steel pipework to clean the large filter screens for incoming cooling water.
