Technical and Scientific Equipment Co  (TSE) announce the introduction of a new system for the testing of compression strength of aggregate, cement and mortar. This includes the testing of Unconfined Compressive Strength and California Bearing Ratio, using a dedicated mechanical tester and load cell system to allow automation of the measurements. 

The precision lead screw enables accurate speed and position measurement across the measuring range, so that calculation of the California Bearing Ratio and Unconfined Compressive Strength can be performed directly.   The control console collects and analyses the data without the need for a computer, making the machine ideal for use in a geomechanics lab.  Alternatively, the console can be connected into an Ethernet network to transfer the data to a remote PC for generation of quality records and reports.  

The compression strength tester has a load range of 2 – 100kN, with load accuracy being ±1%. The machine is ruggedly constructed for the same environmental requirement, but still very competitively priced.
