These versatile calorimeters provide engineers and scientists with the information to identify potential hazards and address key elements of process safety design.
Accelerating Rate Calorimeter 244 has been specifically designed to safely measure the amount and rate of heat release in relation to the processing or storage of chemicals with a sample volume of 0.5 ml to 7 ml.
The new Accelerating Rate Calorimeter 254 is able to study exothermic reactions at temperatures from ambient to 500ºC and pressures ranging from vacuum to 140 bar (2,000 psia). They can detect and track exotherms at heat generation rates in a range of 0.04 K/min to 400 K/min.
The new Multiple Mode Calorimeter 274 Nexus is used for measuring chemical reactions, phase changes, and specific heat on gram-size samples. This enables testing of organic/inorganic multiphase mixtures and slurries. It is also capable of running adiabatic tests that are necessary for process safety.
