TR has introduced the NGARA environmental noise logger into their extensive test and measurement rental fleet.
Taking its name from the Aboriginal word meaning "to listen" the Ngara environmental noise logger offers full measurement flexibility, simultaneously producing Fast SPL-A, Fast SPL-C, Leq-A, and Leq-C acoustic measurements.
Requiring a low 12V of power, the Ngara environmental noise logger is also capable of storing raw audio data (wav files) to hard disk for post processing.
The Ngara environmental noise logger can be controlled and configured very simply through the on-board LCD and push-button interface. With the remote host software more controls can be made available for, such as network settings, alarm functions, and triggering events.
There are two USB ports available on the Ngara environmental noise logger which can be used to interface data storage devices, such as a USB Hard Disk Drive/Flash Stick. There is also one Ethernet port which allows communications with the logger for control and configuration via the Ngara host software.
Using the alarm function, the noise logger can be set to wake up automatically, and either start a new logging session or power on its network interface. These alarms may be set daily or weekly, and can be reoccurring or single shot.
