Merger creates electronic initiatives

Supplier News

TEAM Computing Australia , a leader in IT infrastructure services, has acquired Beyond Commerce - well known for helping organisations implement cost-effective, practical electronic business initiatives such as B2B, eCommerce and procurement.

Richard O'Brien, Managing Director of Beyond Commerce and now Manager of Professional Services at Team knew that joining with Team Computing would provide Beyond's clients with additional backup and more diverse offerings from Team.

"At Beyond Commerce, we help companies develop, evolve and implement eBusiness strategies. These can encompass internet, extranet, intranet, knowledge management, email, EDI and supply-chain initiatives. Add to that Team's infrastructure and technology skills, its experience with ERP, high availability and disaster recovery - the decision to merge was easy. Our offerings compliment each other."

Team Computing CEO Peter Sanderson said, "Team helps organisations regain control over their IT infrastructure to improve manageability, productivity, and very importantly, availability for trading in a world that never sleeps. As our clients demand more from their systems and processes, we have responded by bringing together best-of-breed products and services. As such, the acquisition of Beyond Commerce was a natural choice."

He adds, "The Beyond Commerce consultants, like our existing specialist staff, understand technology and business, and they will be joining our offices in Sydney and Melbourne. This means that in addition to providing eBusiness and infrastructure expertise, the newly merged Team Computing will continue to provide sales and support for two widely-used products for the IBM iSeries: Intercept-400, a complete electronic commerce solution, and iICE which lets companies create product data once, and use anywhere in the organisation."
